Role & Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for completing tasks as assigned by the Customer Service Coordinators and Assistant Manager.
- Process FMLA and Disability paperwork as requested by patients
- Ability to follow rules, regulations, and guidelines for FMLA and Disability paperwork processes
- Monitor and handle all patient medical record requests
- Retrieval of requested medical records
- Produce Return to Work documentations
- Work closely with all staff members in an efficient and respectful manner
- Obtain and verify insurance information, including proper authorizations as needed
- Answer patient and family member questions, meeting customer requests
- Answer phone calls, schedule return visits and/ or rescheduling appointments as necessary
- Sorting, scanning, faxing and mailing documents
- Charging and posting records/paperwork processing, including handling and record fees
- Assist fellow team members and provide cross department support
- Ensure all process/procedure knowledge and actions fall within department standards
- Maintain professional and positive team relationships and work environment
- Displays willingness and ability to engage in a team approach and professional manner at all times
- Ability to maintain focus, calm and an unbiased manner during busy schedules and issue resolution
- Ability to communicate with patients and staff in a clear, concise, confident and professional manner
- Ability to promote conflict resolution amongst the team, and co workers
- Maintains attendance as scheduled including on time arrival and work day finish
- Team Player- share job tasks without direction
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1–3-year(s) experience in health care industry with FMLA specialization
- Proficient (Intermediate and above skills and abilities), level of operation with MS Office and use of office/phone equipment
- Positive and motivational interpersonal skills – Customer Service orientation
Preferred Skills
- FMLA processing experience
- Associates Degree in related field
- Customer Service experience in OB GYN
- Experience with EMR and PM (Allscripts), Systems
Physical Environment
Medial office setting with administrative centers and patient exam and procedure rooms in all centers. Office and Medical/procedural equipment present in an indoor medical office building setting.
- Lifting of no more than 10 lbs. occasionally
- Sitting, standing, bending intervals at desk area up to 8 hours per day
- Phone use with headset options
- Clinical and Administrative team presence, not an isolated work area
