Our History

Oakland Macomb OBGYN was founded in 1998 by Drs. James McBride and Catherine Stark. The partners completed their residencies at William Beaumont Hospital and opened across the street from the Yates Cider Mill. The partners, with the help of Beaumont, established a foundation that would prove to serve them well. The addition of LouAnne Case, CNM and Kathy Figurski, CNM brought the offering of midwifery care which expanded the practice.

The Oakland Macomb OBGYN reputation for kind, compassionate care grew and as patient demand increased, they were able to bring on additional physicians and midwives. Dr. Joseph Love joined in 2003 followed closely by Dr. Wallace in 2004. They have since been able to add to their ranks with the best and brightest board certified physicians and midwives.

The founding doctors have instilled the core belief that compassionate, sensitive care provided in state of the art facilities reflects unyielding respect for the patient. We have partnered with Troy Beaumont for obstetrical care and surgery. The hospital has enabled us to pioneer innovative therapies such as robotic surgery.
