About Nicole Sovey
Nicole Sovey, DNP, WHNP-BC, is a women’s health nurse practitioner at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C., serving patients in Rochester Hills and Troy, Michigan.
Nicole grew up in the Brighton area and received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan. She completed her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2014 with a women’s health nurse practitioner specialty from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Afterward, Nicole became board certified as a women’s health nurse practitioner and earned her Doctor of Nursing in 2016. Upon graduating, she joined an OB/GYN practice in the DMC system before joining the team at Oakland Macomb Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C.
She has a special interest in adolescent gynecology, the early formation of effective patient-provider relationships, contraception counseling, and reducing teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted infection rates. Nicole focuses on the most cutting-edge care for postmenopausal patients and those suffering from chronic pelvic pain and recurrent pelvic infections. She is skilled in multiple procedures, including administering Nexplanon® and intrauterine devices (IUDs).
Outside of work, Nicole loves spending time with her husband and daughter, preferably on the water. She also enjoys running and staying fit.
